If the Terms and Conditions of this Policy are fully complied with the items specifically listed will be covered against Mechanical Breakdown.
Rocker assembly, including hydraulic followers, inlet and exhaust valves (Excluding burnt valves), springs and guides, cylinder head (Excluding cracks and de-coking), cylinder head gasket, push rods, camshaft and followers, timing gears belts and chains, oil pump, pistons and rings, cylinder bores, con rods, gudgeon pins and bearings, crankshaft and bearings, inlet manifold, flywheel and ring gear.
Failure of the following mechanical parts: Gears, synchromesh hubs, selectors, shafts. Bearings and bushes, transfer gears.
Failure of the following mechanical parts: Shafts, gears, clutches, brake bands, valve block, governor, oil pump, bearings and bushes, servo, drive plate, transfer gears, computer governor and torque converter.
Crown wheel and pinion, gears, shafts, bearings and bushes, thrust washers and spacers.
Mechanical breakdown of the centre plate, pressure plate, release bearing, oil contamination (centre plate only), master and slave cylinders (Excluding general wear and tear).
Driveshafts, including constant velocity joints, universal joints and couplings (Excluding gaiters).
Half shafts, rear wheel external drive shafts including velocity joints, universal joints and couplings (Excluding gaiters).
Cover as above for Front and Rear wheel drive.
Failure of the propshaft including, universal joints and couplings.
Failure of front and rear wheel bearings.
Radiator, oil cooler, viscous fan coupling, water pump, thermostat, thermostat housing, thermostatically controlled radiator fan.
The air conditioning compressor, forming part of the original base vehicle chassis is covered.
The complete turbo unit is covered (including the wastegate if it is part of the turbo unit and cannot be bought separately), providing the turbo is part of the original manufacturer's equipment.
Fuel injection engines: Petrol injection pump. (Excluding injectors, wiring, pipes, unions, fuel tank and fuel filter). Carburettor engines: Mechanical or electrical fuel pumps and carburettor.
Failure Off The Following Specialist Diesel Components. Fuel Injection pump, low pressure supply pump, fuel injector governor, fuel shut off mechanism, hydraulic or electrical injection timing mechanism, high pressure fuel metering head, cold starting device, manifold boost pressure compensator, altitude compensator where fitted. Pump drive gear, glow plug relay, mechanism lift pump, brake vacuum pump. (Excluding: Fuel lines, Injectors, glow plugs, high pressure pipes, injection timing adjustments, calibration, bench testing and emission test failures).
Hydrolastic and hydropneumatic units, coil springs, upper and lower wishbones, ball and swivel joints.
Rack and pinion, steering box, power steering rack and pump, power steering reservoir, idler-box where applicable (Excluding gaiters).
Master cylinder, wheel cylinders, restrictor valve, caliper seals, servo.
- The ABS control unit, pump and wheel sensors are covered.
Starter motor and solenoid including pre-engagement mechanism and bendix drive, alternator/dynamo, coil, regulator, window and sunroof motors, centralised locking, heater fan motor, indicator flasher relay, distributor, front and rear windshield wiper and washer motors, electronic ignition amplifier.
Engine electronic control unit.
Oils, oil filter and anti-freeze are covered only where their replacement is essential as a direct result of the failure of a covered item.
Should the failure of any of the components covered result in damage to the casings, then they will also be covered and will constitute part of the maximum claim liability.
Main hook-up input connector, ELCB, battery charger and distribution unit, interior lighting units (excluding bulbs and wiring).
The cassette toilet is covered (excluding seats, valves and glands).
The cooker unit including burners, grill, oven and flame failure device and igniter.
Door seal, condenser, gas control valve, gas igniter, flame failure device, 12 and 240v selector switches, 12 and 240v heater elements, gas thermostat, 240v thermostat, 240v temperature control switch.
Thermostat, motor, switches, control unit, gas heater, flame failure device, igniter (including ducting and fitting).
Water heater (gas or electric) fresh water tank, waste water tank, water pump, water gauges.
Water ingress through any permanently sealed seam or joint, being a part of the original manufacturer's construction. NB Water Ingress cover expires when the Motorhome is 7 years old.
All mechanical and all electrical components of the motorhome conversion that were part of the manufacturer's original fitments and including water ingress and delamination.
Tyres, batteries, gas bottles, glass, paint, brightwork and all similar trim and finish. Soft furnishings, carpets, floor coverings, work surfaces and all similar decor. Window catches, stays and associated fittings. Adjustment of blinds, hinges, catches, stays and doors. Replacement of bulbs, fluorescent tubes, fuses and electrical connections.
Entertainment and communication systems and connected equipment. Normal wear and tear and servicing items and other components subject to routine maintenance.
